Nothing

In a dream you held onto my fingertips. And told me of your brother, lost. Years of sadness. Pushing, pushing, pushing it down. So it wouldn’t escape and bury you too.

So when I think of you.  I see you still boyish. Nine-years-old. Turning to your lost mother. Who had nothing left to give. Nothing left to give.
